Tour to the Humantay Blue Lake through the Salkantay route - 1 day Tour
Itinerary:
One day before the tour, we will visit you at your hotel at 8:30 p.m., to give you all the necessary instructions for the tour to the Humantay Lake and to indicate the entire trip itinerary with the respective recommendations.
On the day of the tour, we will pick you up from your hotel at the agreed time the day before, we will pick you up between 4:00 a.m. to 4:30 a.m., to board the minivan and drive to the town of Mollepata in the exuberant valley of the Apurimac River, place where we will have breakfast and buy what you need to do the tour before starting the hike to the Humantay Lake located at 4200 meters above sea level. After breakfast, we will continue to Challacancha enjoying during the tour of all the magestuosity of the Humantay mountain in the Vilcabamba mountain range and continue the route to Soraypampa 2900 m.a.s.l., where we will have a short break to recharge us with energy to continue our journey to the starting point of the Soraypampa hike, starting our walk to the Humantay blue lake. During the tour we will have impressive views of the Humantay Blue Lake and amazing viewpoints appreciating all the beauty of the landscape that will allow us to take impressive photographs for the memory.
From Soraypampa to the Humantay Blue Lake are 2 km, which can be done between 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours of walking approximately. We can see on one side the Glacial mountain of Humantay at 4200 meters above sea level and on the other side the imposing Glacial mountain of Salkantay, once we arrive to the Humantay blue Lake we will have free time for about 1 hour to rest, take pictures and appreciate the landscape to later return to Soraypampa, board the Mini Van and go to Mollepata where we will have a delicious lunch and finally we will be returning to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 6:30 pm.

The Turquoise Coloration of the Humantay Lake.
This beautiful turquoise water mirror that presents the Humantay Lake is due to the crystallinity of the water and the green microalgae possibly of the species Microcystis aeruginosa and Oscillatoria, and to the reflection of the blue sky plus the reflection of the sun. This would be the factor that would give this beautiful color to the Humantay Lake, making it a magical place to visit.
Level of Difficulty of the Tour to the Humantay Lake:
The difficulty is moderate since it is only a 2 km walk. A moderate physical effort is required to make the Trek to the Humantay Lake, so you should have a regular physical condition, the walking time is 1 hour with 20 minutes approximately.

Humantay means "Head of the Gods", this name was given for being in the head of the slope of the High Jungle.
